this year has been...great! i got to know lots of people and my life was filled with tonnes of ups and downs:
1. tormenting A Levels - a necessary evil? perhaps. it may be evil and torturing, but it's an experience of a life time. nerve-wrecking at the start and during, but a great sense of jubilation at the end of it all. (:
2. exciting term 2 - the sports season! i love it truly. the matches were exhilarating and the jocks are great eye-candies. i must mention the waterpolo matches because i remembered dragging jincheng into acsi to watch one match. embarrassment for him, happiness for the girls. and who can forget the gold-playoffs? all the top 3 most good looking jc boys were there. woo hoo! sajc did rather well in the sports arena and so, term 2 was a plus for my jc 2 year.
3. the numerous encounters with kl - it's kl. enough said?
4. being a senior in school - scrutinising poor j1s was a great pastime of us, j2s. i'm sorry to say that those j1s have to be the victims to satisfy our desire for distressing entertainment. we had the big As to stress over ok?
5. getting B4 for my chinese ao - and of course, saying goodbye to laoshi and not needing to write much chinese words for the rest of my life! jolly good!
6. my eighteenth birthday - getting a birthday slip from kl, personally baked brownie by my friends and an unforgettable night out at orchard with my friends. and, that's the legal age for partying!!!
7. maiden clubbing experience - zouk is hyper and great! alcoholic drinks were just poured into my mouth so willingly. i don't like gin tonic. tequilla is the best!
8. farewell assembly - so pearline's hard work didn't see the light, but taking pictures with my darling class of 03s54 was heart-warming. our dear ct, ms kwan or mrs chow, gave us each a present. she's so sweet.
9. graduation night - glorious occasion and a really last farewell to all saints. the last time the whole cohort could gather together and not cry like mad. although some did. the next time is going to be receiving of our results. jitters!
10. switzerland/paris tour - i love europe!!! the buildings, the boys (hee!) and the weather! and my friends on the tour group. it was simply fun to gather at night. i'm going to miss them so much. yesterday's gathering at gwen's house was superb. great chilling out session and delicious steak uncle chocolate made. delirious time!
happy new year to all. may 2005 be a better year for all of us!
let's now observe a moment of silence and mourn for those victims of the tsunami attack. i pray that it'll be over soon. God bless Asia!

i woke up today, feeling a great sense of bewilderedness. an absolutely weird dream i had last night, left me with a mixture of emotions - sheepishness and happiness being the two dominant ones. the dream revolved around an ordinary school day, except that i am not in sajc. and, the big shocker is, this extraordinary, impish boy with stunning good looks was my boyfriend. i know him and have seen him before in real life. i have never spoken to him, and neither do i know him in person. he's tall, with blonde hair, slender, and is a jock whose forte lies in the pools. in dream land, he was a lovely boyfriend who showered lots of affection and care. but anyway, it's all a dream! nonetheless, it was a great memory. i gathered that this dream must have arose due to the conversation my sisters and i had before tucking into bed. we were discussing the definitions of infatuation, crush and love. merriam-webster dictionary has this to say:
infatuate: to inspire with a foolish or extravagant love or admiration
crush: an intense and usually passing infatuation
love: strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties
i understand that it's infatuation that leads to crush, and crush that leads to love. (:

since, it's christmas, you shouldn't be asked to 'wheel off' if you are trying to be lame because people are generally nicer on christmas day! so, here's one to start the lame snowball rolling:

part one
waiter: hello miss. welcome to macdonald's!
big mac (a fat woman): hello. excuse me, can i have a set of me?
waiter: errm, what's me?
big mac: (seductively) just look at my bo...dy...
waiter: sorry miss. but we only serve chicken and beef, no pork.

start rolling your eyes now! but there's more...

part two
dear sherrie chew ching ching, the woman whose age has increased again,

happy birthday!!! you are another year OLDer. aww...so sad!!!! but it's okay, since it's christmas, it's a gift from santa! it's always good to get something from him. in fact, this year, his gift for you is...AGE INCREMENT!!! it's only one year, so don't fret and don't get angry because if you do, you'll AGE faster. WRINKLES, SPOTS and THE LIKE will soon join in and become part of your presents to come. in any case, if you wish to blame someone, blame santa claus at ilovemakingyouold@santaclaus.com or send a postage letter to:

old folks condo
#32-32
alwaysland
(opposite of neverland)
last of all, merry christmas and a happy new year!

lots of candles,
santa's assistant
the YOUNG elf

before you become a cripple, merry christmas and a happy new year. my only wish this year, santa, is to get more wishes. (: it's all thanks to mr lim jincheng that my lame juices can flow so fast.

abysmal at the beginning when i went for my tour briefing, but a great sense of delight when i was touring and now i regret not getting closer to them at the start of the tour. all of us were sad to part. there was good rapport among the teens of my tour group to switzerland and paris. we played cards and gossiped through the nights by holding slumber parties. although earfuls from disapproving parents were expected, we held on tight to our plan for late night hang-outs in comfortable european hotel rooms. a tribute to the people:
1. michelle tan (my fellow 'twin')
2. edwin (the young boy-boy who got inspiration for the number game from whatever books he could land his hand on)
3.dennis (the big brother of our group who, along with cousin kenneth, tried to scare daniel with ns horror stories)
4. daniel (the smart ri-rjc boy who claimed that i could borrow him as a boyfriend for 2000 camels a month after sarah told us about her friend being offered 175 camels to marry some middle-eastern man)
5. gwendoline (the outgoing girl who got drunk on 3 glasses of wine at moulin rouge)
6. joash (the petite cousin of eugene who always told me to eat the oranges)
7. shawn (the big bully who never failed to throw snowballs at me)
8. parents of daniel and gwen (my darling sugar daddy and mummy who bought me alcoholic chocolates at zermatt)
9. sarah (our knowledgeable tour guide who told us so much about the history of switzerland and france)
10. ben (our belgian driver who claimed his pictures will help us make a lot of money)
i definitely recommend all to visit switzerland, especially cozy interlaken and lovely snowball fight venue zermatt. these two towns are my personal favourites. i remembered the two friendly store owners (one who told me that my german name is michaela) and mad boss of a fondue restaurant in interlaken (where i danced with the boss). of course, zermatt was the place where we had 'battle of the sexes' in a snowball fight. i was the usual target of 3 bullies - shawn, joash and daniel. my dear kamikaze brother helped me! i felt that snowball fights were good times to build rapport. at least for us, we got closer after playing on the snow field. i learnt that snowballs are not so easy to make, unlike in cartoons. after saying 'au revoir' to switzerland, we went to paris. paris is indeed a lovely and romantic place. i love arc de triumph, more than the eiffel tower. nonetheless, this city doesn't beat geneva, where lots of important people go for forums and meetings, in terms of international respect. that's all i can remember for now. i shall blabber more next time. for now, a shout out to my dear friends of the tour group. i miss them! (:

i guess i am really hooked onto football...players, and cute ones to be precise. i bought my first soccer magazine recently, with total approval from my dad who is an ardent soccer fan. boredom does me no better. my sister and i made up our own dream team. in this team, you don't need skills to be included. the main criteria is good looks. of course, skills would be of great bonus. presenting the best eye-candy team you'll ever get (that's for now):
cristiano ronaldo, alan smith, kevin davies, frank lampard, jose antonio reyes, steven gerrard, francesc fabregas, rafael van der vaart, arne friedrich, fernando torres, petr cech (substitute: thomas sorensen)
being singaporean, how can i not blog anything about singapore idol? i'm truly delighted that taufik batisah won. that flop, sylvester sim, can't sing a tune. i shall stop insulting him or i'll face the wrath of his legion of fans! i have a rather enormous dislike for maia whom i usually refer to as a bitch. i adore olinda's powerful vocals. i rooted for jessea to be the first singapore idol but turned really disappointed when she was eliminated. and of course, christopher michael lee is one of the only few chinese boys i love.

sherrie's so merry. sherrie's bbq party was so lively. no, actually, the party became upbeat only when alcohol came into the scene. many of us gathered at sherrie's house for a bbq party. there was so much food, much was left uncooked. and so, to make use of the uncooked food, we are going to have another one, coupled with a sleepover. i got high again. alcohol does me no good, but i don't care. this party brought everyone closer. new friends were made. old friendships strengthened. people played mahjong, cards and what not. most of us did not want to leave. anyway, i have to say that the cake evelyn (not sherrie) baked was delicious. two consecutive delirious days with alcohol! my diet has gone down the drain. but to hell! happiness is what counts.

jc life ended with a big bang - a lovely prom night. all the saints who were present looked their best, as far as i can recall. a pity that our tch waterpolo hottie travins was not even nominated - needless to say crowned - as one of the prom king candidates. that coveted title went to the mvp huijie whom i must say is a rather friendly person. i briefly congratulated him when joanna wanted a picture with him. however, apparently, being nice is not something prevalent in the basketball team. i am so furious that eugene mocked at huixian. all she did was give him a wristband and his ego inflated so much that it burst. he is a busted bastard! of course, let's not spoil the mood here! cameras were clicking throughout the prom night. lots of chit chatting. the sea of colours, beautiful faces of the saints and grand setting painted a wonderful picture. i want to remember my jc graduation night as the night every saint turned from a frog into a prince/princess. indeed, memorable is not enough to express it all.
clubbed at zouk after that. not many saints there though, sadly. bacardi is good. but i still like vodka better. 03s54 stayed at pan pacific hotel! we rocked the place by telling ghost stories. but i knocked out before i could finish one story. next targets: ac and hc proms!!!
