i heart kate spade. i was at the boutique at takashimaya just a while ago and i was blown away by these two lovely accessories.
jane street maria
jane street zippered chrissy
gold and hot pink are the best colour combination now. together with kate spade's jane street collection, thats materialistic desire at its finest.
oh and the staff at hugo boss were so well groomed. all of them had their hair nicely-styled and were dressed in the boss suits. and the manners and those smile. made me feel like a privileged patron when i was there. now, that is what i call service. other boutiques should learn.
good charlotte sang, "girls dont like boys. girls like cars and money." i beg to differ. i think, girl like all things cute: boys, clothes, shoes, bags, wallets...you get the drift.
to prove my point, i watched the dark knight yesterday. and i must go along with the flow, it IS indeed a good movie. apparently it might beat the record of the the crazy big bucks grossed at the cinemas when titanic hit the big screen. and yes, heath ledger was a legendary joker. he was SO good and crazy. and of course, christian bale is sooooo hot! :)
and then, i was at kallang stadium last night to watch the match between brazilian olympic team and singapore selection. so i saw ronaldhino. the second time ive watched the brazilian soccer team. but pity, no kaka this time round! :( there was a banner that said "singapore. goals all the way." i think, they wanted to say "SINGAPORE. (LETTING IN) GOALS ALL THE WAY." hahah but i must say brazil didnt play at their best, it was so obvious. which is why singapore didnt lose as badly as everyone thought.

j'aime ma famille. they came over to london soon after my last paper (gosh that seems like ancient history to me) and i had such a ball of a time bringing them around. it seemed like london is my territory. although i do concede im not that good a tour guide! :( but its all a good time spent with my family!
| covent garden | piccadilly circus | pall mall | ladurée macaroons | westminster abbey | river thames | inside the london eye | a nice cafe near borough market | tower of london with the beefeater | buckingham palace |
we also took this opportunity to go to roland garros! yes, the grand slam at paris, france. i looovvveeeeeeeee watching tennis live! i was pretty star-struck. i mean, i saw maria sharapova, dinara safina, roger federer, julien benneteau, gael monfils, ivan ljubicic, fernando gonzales, robby ginepri, radek stepanek and david ferrer. its a pity i didnt get to see rafael nadal and novak djokovic! :( but still, its all worth it. one day, im going to go on a tennis tour with my sisters, and we'll catch ALL the grand slams! HAHAH.
stratford was beautiful and quaint. we had abundant sunshine and so that made us really happy people. shakespeare and his family had lots of estates in stratford and they all look so amazing. especially anne hathaway's cottage.

j'aime londres, en angleterre! et paris, en france! j'adore la europe! :)

salut mon ami(e). tu vas bien? moi? ça va.
thats as much as i can write on my blog. everything else needs to be in anglais (which is 'english' in french). anyway, my french teacher at alliance française let my class listen to a classic french song by joe dassin today. its called 'salut' and the chorus goes like this, "salut! c'est encore moi! salut! comment tu vas? le temps m'a paru très long. loin de la maison, j'ai pensé à toi." its so sad a song! oui, i understood. that is, after my teacher explained. and since then, its been haunting me. in a good way though.
oh, this is so cultured. listening to french songs. and a classic one. i am cool.
j'adore la langue française. i adore the french language. not the french men. although, richard gasquet! il est épitomé de français, enough said. nonetheless, i got to concede that its not an easy language to grasp. just when i thought the whole masculine/feminine thing was going to throw me off, there is all the other intricate aspects of it. slowly but surely, i'll pull through. and one day, i'll be able to say "je parle français". for now, i dont even think i can safely say "je parle français un peu".
okay before i go on and on in french that probably no one else understands (except my tweenie who is also taking french class. elle est dans les cours de français!), la finale.

wimbledon championships 2008 came to an end. what an amazing finale was it, indeed. rafael nadal has finally ended the world number one's run for six consecutive wimbledon titles. yes, the spaniard eventually clinched the grand slam title after a grueling five-hour match. with this win, he becomes the second male tennis player in history (after bjorn borg) to win both the roland garros and wimbledon in the same year! especially since these two grand slams are so close to each other (time and geographical proximity). GO RAFA! :)
since we're on the topic of tennis, i must say i think john mcenroe is such a charmer. hes funny as a commentator and he is an awesome tennis legend. before he retired, he made his mark in the tennis world, fashioning the quote "the ball was on the line" and, of course, displaying great tennis skills. i think he has aged gracefully. he had a fleeting cameo appearance in the movie "you dont mess with zohan", which i must say is a silly movie but superbly hilarious.
moving on to another charming man, mark feuerstein, who starred in the movie "in her shoes", melted my heart. his character in the movie is such a nice guy! and i like nice guys. plus, the im-a-bespectacle-intelligent-attorney combo threw me off my feet.
oh and this is superbly-duperbly-ultra-mega CUTE.
im picking up french. for real.
bonjour. je m'apelle michelle. c'est mon mari. il est richard gasquet. bisous! :)
