i am fuming mad. the reason being the mtv asia awards!!! first of all, i must say that i actually could have gotten my hands on the red carpet passes, but my silly cousin rejected it!! duhz, that's my cousin brandon for you. sigh sigh, always so blur. nevermind that. i feel that mtv asia should go and re-check the votes, or rather, they should search their conscience again. how could it be possible that gareth gates won the 'favourite male artist' award over justin timberlake? even though i must comment that gareth sure looked so adorable last night, with his puppy eyes and all. but that's not the point. and, how do you explain christina aguilera's victory over beyonce in the 'favourite female artist' category? no way, i say. how can those two grammy award winners loose to two small fries? not possible! it is only true if the mtv asia committee did something...unfair. they simply gave the award to those present. why not rename the mtv asia awards as 'mtv asia attendance recognition awards'?
nevertheless, the performances were phenomenal. i love simple plan!!! the drummer chuck and lead vocalist pierre are just absolutely yummy!! 'i'm a dick, i'm addicted to youuuu...!' not to mention, the black eyed peas rock big time, bringing the house down, singing their number one singles 'where is the love', 'shut up' and 'hey momma'. 'shut up just shut up shut upppp...!' these two acts totally blew my mind away. even though it was already 1am when the show finally wrapped up, i was still filled with energy, singing and jumping along to their songs. i say, other than the performances, mtv asia was a failure. they are unfair. i want justin timberlake and beyonce to win. rather, i think they are the winners cos they are huge international acts!!! gareth doesn't get on my nerve so much bcos he's absolutely gorgeous and sweet. but as for christina aguilera, she'd better step aside and make way for the queen of r&b and pop - beyonce knowles!!!
