it's not everyday that racial harmony is celebrated. but of course, in a cosmopolitan city like singapore, harmony among the different races and religion is very much appreciated. so what does wearing a traditional costume of another race mean to dr.e.p? 'it's ok. it's rather tight at the pants down there!' what does that mean? only a singaporean would be able to decipher the horrible singlish of his. having eye contacts has become a history. past admiration has transformed into fear. now, my sidekicks and i resort to going into a state of panic and frantically try to avoid at all cost. apparently, he has not only instill fear in me, but also pearline and siti. although the three of us have been scheming to smile back or stare hard at him, but this has never become a reality. it's our natural reaction to turn or run away. my dear mixed friend, chua siti ayeshah mohd shafiq (that's one very long name), turns eighteen today. we celebrated it with a lunch at swensens jurong point on friday and ended it with a chocolate-pudding cake. siti's such an adorable girl. one of our foursome she is, having turned eighteen makes her displease. nevertheless, i wish her a happy birthday. i love her lots.
