before today, many 03s54ers were inquisitive and clueless as to what to expect and gain out of this service learning. for some, even fear overwhelmed them. of course, exhilaration and anticipation is inevitable. we enthusiastically planned lots of activities for the clients of clementi minds. crossing our fingers, we hoped for the best. just as expected, our maiden encounter with them was rather awkward. i could sense an icy cold barrier between the clients and ourselves. this continued until we finally got to interact with them during the colouring and origami sessions, games and performances. the clients grooved and danced happily to the techno music. i abhor this genre. however, being touched by their innocence, i witnessed the class and myself all moving along with them. this beats warming the seats of the lecture halls anytime. i'm glad for such an enriching experience. it's 'servant leaders' in the moulding. gratitude and regards from 03s54 to the darlings of clementi minds!
