a guide to remember those darn things the teachers make us squeeze into our grey brain cells:
1. to remember partial fraction, just remember - well - me. it's LIATE to determine 'u'.
2. to chance upon my urbane crush follows a poisson distribution. it's rare and random. (jincheng would rather remember it as 'croissant' distribution. relating food to work is prevalent from food-gorging singaporeans.)
3. to feel the presence of my smiley ex-crush in college follows a binomial distribution. it's repeated day after day.
4. with point 3 in mind, it is true that n>50. since n is big, the binomial distribution can be approximated to a normal distribution by CLT. just remember that you would so love to press 'CLT + ALT + DEL' to erase those yucky redundant information you are fed everyday.
5. irritating teachers are lipids. they are unwanted and cause us to put on weight, leading to health hazards like blocking of our arteries.
6. students are like polar molecules, with electronegative elements to attract all fun stuffs (which are polar) to themselves. 'like attracts like'.
7. lipids (irritating teachers) are non-polar. we are polar. hence we are unable to form hydrogen bonds (unable to click) and are thus immiscible.
8. placing two electrons in a single orbital makes the ionisation energy lower due to inter-electronic repulsion. in this case, opposites attract. it's like putting two boys in a room. since there is no attraction between them, it's easy to make them leave the room. but if it's a lady in the room, lustful guys take forever to leave.
9. in the theory of evolution, the darwin finches evolve from the same species to finches with different beaks so as to adapt to a certain niche. why is it that teachers can't evolve into nicer humans whom we can approach? this shows that darwin's theory is not always applicable. if so, why are we learning them? my suggestion is 'don't study biology!'
10. active transport is one of the main ways cells obtain ions, for example through the sodium-potassium pump. energy is required as the ions are moving against the concentration gradient. then why is it that biology facts cannot enter our brains easily since it is more concentrated in our notes as compared to our brains? and why do these information leak out of our brains so easily? this seconds to my anti-biology theory.
