after being absent from blog-o-sphere for a very long time, i am finally back because i am fired from my first job. that's right, fired!! but technically, i quit. you see, i called the company to resign before they told me that they also wanted to terminate my services. (: it's a joy to announce it because it was a hideous time spent there. i mean, i can totally do without a three-day-stint there. fat witches lurking around, being jealous of me (for whatever reason, i am oblivious to) and giving me heinous work to do.
that's one chapter closed. now, an update on my next milestone: lse rejected me. bah. sour. but it's okay. durham university and king's college quickly came to nurse my injured heart and spirit. (: however, this brings a new quandary to light: to be nearer to everyone else by studying in king's, or to pursue prestige in third-ranked durham?
i have finally said 'goodbye' to posb. after banking with them since the squirrel friend days in primary school, i've moved on to hsbc. yay. (: my banker was damn hilarious and could manage to engage me in interesting discussions.
what else? my life is pretty insignificant. i can't wait for lunar new year, because the bo-law-ers will reunite and i'll get to see my cousins and distant relatives and whatnot.
i am starting on a book called 'everyone worth knowing' by lauren weisberger. i hope it'll be a good and interesting read. i was enamoured by meg cabot's ever smiley corporate lawyer mitchell hertzog and boy-next-door-ish park avenue trent heir john trent. then, i was transported to primary school when i read her 'all american girl'. it's time to start on something classified under 'contemporary adult romantic novel'.
such books are so illusional. even the drama serial 'huan zhu ge ge' is. but you know what, since guys, in reality, can never be like these characters, why can we women be allowed to delude ourselves in perfection, no matter how unrealistic that might seem? oh right, i think 'fifth prince yong qi' and 'xiao yan zi' (aka little swallow) will make a good reel-to-real couple.
it's australian open season now. how nice it is to be able to switch on the tv without worrying that there'll be nothing to watch. (: what a pity. my dear french teenage sensation richard gasquet was knocked out during the first round by german veteran tommy haas. spanish prodigy rafael nadal withdrew due to injury. so, i can only bank my homes on american second seed, andy roddick. albeit, something tells me that world number one, roger federer, will once again prevail.
